Icsman Named Head Strength Coach for 2014 Season

Donnie Icsman has been named the Head Strength Coach for the Lightning in their 2014 season.  The former NFL player co founded Athlete's Edge which is a strength, agility and speed performance training center in Boca Raton.  Donnie has trained over 100 world class athletes including:

-Eric Hosmer of the Kansas City Royals.

-Deck McGuire of the Toronto Blue Jays.

-Deven Marrero of the Cincinatti Reds.

-Asante Samuel of the Philadelphia Eagles.

-Darius Butler of the New England Patriots.

-Jevon Kearse of the Tennessee Titans.

"We are thrilled to have Donnie on our staff.  His expertise will contribute to the advancement of our players.  Players that come to Boca and Palm Beach will be able to train like professional athletes under his guidance", said Vince Farfaglia President of the SFCBL.  “I am very excited to work with the SFCBL in training their athletes.  In our training regiment we will be able to improve areas of weakness and strengthen different parts of the body that are vital to staying injury free”, said Donnie.   Below is Donnie's biography:

Don Icsman is a co-founder of Athletes Edge and the current Director of Training at the Boca Raton location.  Don is a 1995 graduate of Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio.  He was a 4 year starter on the Heidelberg Football Team as Punter & Defensive Back.  Following graduation, Don was an Assistant Kicking Coordinator with the Miami Dolphins under Coach Blevins from 1995-1998. From 1998 to 2001, Don spent time with numerous professional teams, including the Scottish Claymores, Ottowa Renegades, Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Baltimore Ravens.  Following his time in the NFL, Don worked as a Sports Performance Coach with various private sector facilities and high schools around the country.  He ultimately landed in Florida training athletes all over the South Florida area.  In 2006 Don co-founded Athletes Edge in Boca Raton, FL, which continues to provide some of the top training for athletes in South Florida since its inception.
