Carm Mazza

Head Coach

A native of Agawam, MA moved to South Florida after attending UNLV for 2 seasons and transferred to Lynn University. As a left-handed pitcher, he has managed to take his knowledge from the mound to the dugout.

Carm Mazza has become one of the top pitching coaches in the country as well as a scout/evaluator for Team One and Baseball Factory. His coaching career started at Boca High & Lynn as an assistant where he soon learned that he had a gift for coaching. In 1999, he was offered the opportunity to start the program at American Heritage Delray. His current awards include Coach of the year 3 times by Sun Sentinel and 2 times by Palm Beach Post, 6 time HSBN Coach of the year, 10 time FACA Dairy Farmer Coach of the Year. His team stats at AHS include, 13 District and 5 Regional Championships, 5 time State Finalists with 483 Wins, 200 Losses and 3 Ties.

AHS has won 7 “IN” season tournaments, including this past 2023 Florida Collegiate League (3-1). Carm Mazza just hosted his 1st Alumni Event at AHS celebrating 25 Years of Coaching in which AHS honored him by naming the Baseball Stadium Field in his name. Mazza has sent 69% of his players at AHS to collegiate programs nationwide compared to the national average of 7% totaling over 175 players in the 25 years at AHS.  Players who have moved on to play professionally include 40 minor leaguers and 3 MLB players.
