The Boca Raton Blazers make the most of 7 hits in 6-3 victory over the Coral Springs Royals

The Boca Raton Blazers (6-2) and the Coral Springs Royals (3-4) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Boca Raton Blazers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-3 win at Lynn University. The Coral Springs Royals couldn't get anything going so long as Matt Oconnor (Adelphi University) was on the hill. The Coral Springs Royals managed just three hits off of the the Boca Raton Blazers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 2/3 innings of work. Joe Campagna (Slippery Rock Univeristy) boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Coral Springs Royals. He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and eighth innings. Michael Conrad (Georgetown University) got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered seven hits. Amiel Abreu (Point Park University) ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked six, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
