The Coral Springs Canes Outdone By Diehl And The Palm Beach Blazers, 6-4

Drew Diehl went 2-3, sparking the Palm Beach Blazers (12-4) to a 6-4 victory over the Coral Springs Canes (2-10) on Wednesday at Dick Brown Park.

He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Benton Siegel was hot from the plate for the Coral Springs Canes. Siegel went 2-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Danny Smith improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Palm Beach Blazers. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out eight, walked five and surrendered five hits.

Alec Duboy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out two.
