The South Florida Breakers Outdone By Pettet And The Palm Beach Blazers, 8-3

The Palm Beach Blazers (17-10) beat the South Florida Breakers (12-15) 8-3 in seven innings on Sunday at Broward College behind Robert Pettet, who went 2-2.

He singled in the first innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Danny Smith pitched lights out for the Palm Beach Blazers. The South Florida Breakers managed just two hits off of Smith, who allowed two earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Jason Holcomb recorded his second win of the year for the Palm Beach Blazers. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Duncan Reynolds (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked three and struck out none.
