Mike Abate (William Patterson) went 2-2, helping the Palm Beach Blazers (8-11) to a 2-0 victory over the Delray Beach Lightning (9-10) on Monday at Miller Park.

He singled in the first and third innings.

Chris Jordan (Florida Tech) (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
