Palm Beach Blazers Defeat the Eagles 7-5

The Palm Beach Blazers (10-18) jumped on the West Palm Beach Eagles (10-15) early on their way to a 7-5 win on Monday at Miller Park, scoring six runs in the first inning.

The Palm Beach Blazers scored in the first on a wild pitch, a steal of home by Mike Abate (William Patterson) a sacrifice fly by Scott Savage (Masters) an RBI single by Austin Irvin (Indian Hills C.C.) a sacrifice fly by TJ Tamaccio (Quincy) and a hit by pitch.

Irvin had a hot bat for the Palm Beach Blazers. Irvin went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run.

The West Palm Beach Eagles had no answer for Bobby Patterson (Penn State) who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The West Palm Beach Eagles managed just one hit off of Patterson, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Carmine Cioffoletti (Northwood) got on base three times in the game for the West Palm Beach Eagles. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second and eighth innings.

Kalyb Smith (Keystone) (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked seven and struck out none.
